One Awesome Year

As we head into 2018, Andrew thinks back to New Year’s Day 2017!    He had a dream, personal career goals to achieve and he began to lay out his plan on how to transform his working life. Although rather scary, Andrew understood that he needed to restructure his business to allow him time to fulfil his dreams in a more creative way. In February 2017, Andrew made the decision to close one of his 4 salons to allow himself more time to enjoy his passion.  Whilst his Hampshire based salon teams worked away expertly, Andrew was focusing his attention on collaborating with designers creating looks for the International Fashion Week Shows that lay ahead.

‘Reflecting back on the past 12 months is just incredible.  I’ve had the opportunity to work with the most amazing, inspirational people that have played such a huge part in the fun and success that I have had – being named as Southern Stylist Of 2017 was most definitely a key moment!’  Andrew continues ‘on New Year’s Day 2017 I really focused on my vision for the year ahead…..I’m blown away that I have been able to cram so many fantastic opportunities in and it fills me with inspiration for the future’

Named as the stylist commissioned to head the hair teams at London, Milan and Paris Fashion Week Shows, working on The London Pride Campaign, hosting a stage event for The Fellowship at Salon International, presenting at milk_shake’s International Summer Event and collaborating with the awesome team at Hot Tools are just some of Andrew’s highlights of 2017.    Andrew has enjoyed running sell-out education seminars for his Super Balayage and Perfect Bob courses at Wonderful Life, PHAB in Exeter and was delighted when he was invited to host bespoke in-salon education days for other hairdressing talents.  There were lots of celebrations when Andrew’s contribution to British hairdressing was recognised as he was announced as Hair Stylist Of The Year in the highly acclaimed Southern Hair & Beauty Awards and earlier in the year at the coveted Salon Business Awards when he was one of only 6 British Hairdressing talents to reach the finals of the UK’s Ultimate Stylist Category 2017.

‘There are so many individual people and organisations to thank for their belief, support and guidance over the past 12 months and far too many to name.  Without the support of my partner Dan, my salon managers and teams, my milk_shake & Wonderful Life family, Michelle Wilson and the wonderful people at Hot Tools and of course Ann Herman, Jo Martin and the Fellowship team not to mention the photographers, Bernard Connolly, Chanel Joan Elkayam, Anggy Haif, the models and videographers that I have had the pleasure of working with,  this amazing year would never have been possible!  Thank you all so very much!’
